The three biggest things are you’re not setting up on every rep, you’re trying to squat with the bar in your hands, and because of 1 and 2 the bar is in front of the mid-foot on the way up and then the way down because you’re bringing it around your knees.
The 5 steps to set up are take a stance about hip width apart with toes pointed out slightly. Make sure the bar is over the middle of the foot. The actual middle of the entire foot and not just the part you can see. Bend over and grab the bar with straight legs. Bring your shins down to the bar but don’t roll it forward or you’ve failed. Now squeeze your chest up slowly and pull the slack out of the bar without dropping your hips. Keep squeezing upwards, and then push through your legs to break the bar off the floor. Don’t jerk it off.
When you put it down push that ass back. then when the bar passes your knees just drop down but make sure bar stays over the mid-foot.
Once my quads recover from squats, going to try this again! Maybe Friday when my friend comes over with a camcorder! Thanks again for great advice
